Attention Wetmore Descendents - I am the appointed Probate Court conservator of the Estate of H. Green, owner of the Seth Wetmore house in Middletown, CT. Twenty years ago, the parlor of the house was sold to the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford, where it is still on display.
Sadly, with the years came trouble for the house and the residents. Thieves cut off and removed a soffit window from the attic, and the conservator has struggled to preserve the house. According to Davis, officials have named the house as one of the three most "endangered" historic homes in the state.
Ms. Green is 98 years old and in a nursing home. The house is empty at this time. We are unable to pay our mortgage or pay the costly insurance to insure this property. The house is in trouble and the mortgage is about to foreclose. We need everyones help - this spectacular house could be torn down. Can you help us.
We have an original photograph of the Wetmore house taken around the time of the Civil War. We are in desparate need of funds. We would like to sell the photograph to save the house.
If you would like to email me, please do - i will be more than happy to listen to any idea or comment you may have. All of the descendents of Seth Wetmore. This house is part of your family history. Won't you please help
We have a buyer for the house - but she must sell her house first before she can buy the Wetmore house - time is running out.
Thank you for your time - if you can help - please write me, time is running out!!
