Wetherill ancestry in England?

Although many histories have Christopher Wetherill originating in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and tracing his ancestry back to the Kings of England, this has been questioned (convincingly to me) by Charles M. Hansen in "A Wetherill Correction" American Genealogist, Jan. 1988, pp. 12-16. Also, the document that CW brought from England states he was from Sherburn but it also mentions Tadcaster. We don't know if this refers to Sherburn near Scarborough or Sherburn-in-Elmet near Tadcaster. This needs more work. Os Cresson
