My Wetherill's orginate from PA.
The furthest back I have is an Asa and Elizabeth Wetherill. They had a son, Franklin Davis Weatherill born June 25, 1864 and a daughter Sarah.
Asa took another man's placei n the navy and died at sea, leaving Elizabeth without income. She in turn placed her children into a type of orphanage school (i have a mroe indept post on the weatherill board). Somewhere around the time of Franklin Weatherill the spelling changed from Wetherill to Weatherill. Not sure when, but it came from wetherill orginally. Franklin had a daughter named Anna Weatherill who married Ollie Morris in McKean Co, PA. They were my great grandparents. If anyone has came across this family, I'd appreciate the info. BTW, Franklin married Margaret Derr. Sorry about forgetting that.
