Thanks Mike for the contact. The only information I have on Jane Westray is the info I originally gave to Genforum. There were other Westrays in Liverpool which I have checked on circa 1800+ but no firm connection with my ancestor. I have researched the IGI for possible baptism refs
and have only come up with 15-11-1775 at Bridekirk, Cumberland ( m=Elizabeth Westray ).
There seem to be Westrays in this area as well as Harrington and Whitehaven.
The witnesses at Jane's 1800 Liverpool marriage to Thomas Guest were Ann Little and Samuel Lightfoot. I haven't had much luck in tracing her in the 1841 census for certain.
There is a Jane Guest, 55, 'yes, born in County' in the Islington/Lime St district.
Three daughters - Mary, 25, Alice,20, and Ellen, 15 ( milliners ) and three sons - James, 35, tailor, Thomas, 20, 'tin.m. ap'
and Peter, 15, 'car (?) ap'. Possible??
Good luck at the Record Office.
Regards, Eddie.
