Ruel Weston, one of ten children of Stephen Weston, was born March 7, 1802 in Skowhegan, Somerset Co., ME. He married Eliza Woodman in 1830. They were the parents of four children, all born in Somerset Co., Maine:
Joshua W, b cir 1834
Ruel F, b cir 1837
Sarah, b cir 1844; married Rufus Douglass
John Henry, b June 5, 1848; married Dec 1871 to Adelet Virginia PLOTT/PLATT.
The entire Ruel Weston family moved to La Crosse Co., Wisconsin in 1866.
Adelet was born April 7, 1847 in Iowa to John D. PLATT/PLOTT and Mary Ann Nunn. I am interested in finding out what happened to John Henry & Adelet PLATT.
In 1879, John Henry was in the lumber business and associated with the company 'Weston & Co.'
In 1881, John Henry was general manager and secretary of 'The Red Elephant Mining Co.' of Colorado, located in Clear Creek County, Colorado; office in New York City.
I am unable to find any information on this couple since the 1870 census, before their marriage. Any help would be appreciated.
Jane Tripp, researching PLATT
