Jerry,
There?s no slam-dunk here.As to Nehemiah?s birth date and place, a study of census records indicates he was born between 1765 and 1770, but Wethersfield, CT tax records suggest about 1770 is more accurate. The 1880 census of one of Nehemiah?s children says he (Nehemiah) was born in Connecticut.Joshua Weston died in Middletown, CT, according to church records of the Middletown Second Ecclesiastical Society. Connecting Nehemiah to Joshua is a long and complicated case and is detailed in the article I mentioned. In short, a family bible once owned by Joshua Weston?s daughter Lucy was passed to a Weston family living in Farmington, Michigan.Notations in the bible give Lucy?s date of birth which can be positively tied to the town records of Plympton, Massachusetts where her birth is recorded and she is given as a daughter of Joshua and Lucy Weston. The home where the bible surfaced is where Nehemiah Weston lived. There are several other records that, when taken together, tie Nehemiah to Joshua. These are all given in the article.
