I can speak to the location of Edmund Westmoreland land - a little bit. I had photographed the deedbook in York SC for Edmund's 15 Oct 1800 purchase from Samuel Watson of 400 acres on the west side of Bullocks Creek for $1700 (deed number 97). Someone tracing the sales of this land more thoroughly could identify the specific place, but the deed itself has only Bullocks Creek and various corner trees listed as landmarks.
I know nothing about their growing grapes, although scuppernong wine from wild grapes is a longtime delicacy of those parts.
As for Sallie Hawkins (Mrs Edmund) Westmoreland's parents, I have notes from a visit to Salt Lake City from Mormon records that they were John and Henny Hawkins. I admit I'm skeptical about any details that aren't from original records, and even then, mistakes can happen.
