dayna, There is a web site you can go to that is free: familysearch.org You can access the Social Security Index from there. There are two others: genealogy.com and ancestry.com to access all of there records you will need to subsribe but they are well worth. If you have a family history center in your town you might go there. They subsribe to ancestry.com and you can use their computers for free. You can find a family history center in your area by going to the web site of familyhistory.org or go to your phone book, look under, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and look down to find the family history center in your town. It is a library of genealogy; they could help you a lot and everyone is welcome. From this center you can also access any record you want from the Salk Lake City, Family History Library, it is the largest one in the world. I do a lot of my research at the center in my area. I love it. Let me know if I can help. My email is genroots@charter.net gook luck Notify Administrator about this message?
