I am not sure if any of our Westlunds came to USA, but my great grandmother was Anna Karolina WESTLUND born 29 May 1842 in Avesta, Dalarna, Sweden. Her parents were:Christina Jansdotter EKLUND b> 09 Nov. 1806 and Anders Petter WESTLUHD, b. 19 Jan 1815 in Avesta, Dalarna, Sweden. They married 22 Nov 1835 in Avesta and both died there.
Their children were: Lovisa Christine born 1840; Anna Karolina born May 29, 1842; Charlotta born 02 May 1844; Anna Lisa born Nov 19, 1848; and Per erik born 1857. {Avesta]
Christina Jansdotter EKLUND was 10 yrs old when her mother died.and 12 yrs old when her father died.He was Jan Gustafsson SPRINGFeld.[This was his soldier's name.] She moved into her brother, Eric Andell's home- as he was 14 yrs. older than she.Sincerely, jcookswa@msn.com
