Hi Patrick,
I have Jonathan Calvin Westgate as born Nov, 17, 1827. If Jonathan were to fit this scenario, than William would be the older brother of the two (I am unaware of any siblings of Jonathan at this time, but that only means I have little info on the man), and Jonathan was born the year his mother died. Makes me wonder of the exact date of her death, could it have been complications as a result of the birth? I've seen Jonathan's death certificate, for his place of birth it merely states 'back east' or something to that effect. I haven't found any document to list his parents. I've requested his marriage certificate from Dekalb IL, in the hopes that it may give some information. I'm sorry I'm not more help at this point. ~Becky
