This is a corrected version: Jane Westgarth was born May 22, 1835 in Tynemouth, Northumbria. Her father was James who was a carver and gilder. Her mother was Jane Burdon. James and Jane were married 7 July 1834 in Tynemouth. They also had a son by the name of James. Jane married Robert Hume, a cabinet maker, son of John Hume, a mariner, on 3 Oct. 1858. They had a daughter, Jane born in Tynemouth, then three children, Gertrude, John Robert, and Margaret born in Barnet, England before emigrating to Seaforth, Ontario and finally going to Manitoba to settle in Souris, Manitoba.
