her parents were:
Samuel D. Kennard b Feb 1830 NYC d. 18 Jul 1908 Jersey City, New Jersey and Elmira b. Sep 1837 NYC d. 20 Jun 1912 Jersey City, New Jersey. married 1858 (I do not know Elmira's maiden name but it would be on her death cert. if you need it--I have a copy of her obituary in the family Bible which says she died at the home of her daughter Mrs. John Westervelt)
Samuel's parents: George A. Kennard b 28 Feb 1801 NYC d 27 May 1852 NYC and Catherine A. b 1804 m bef 1828 (son John b. 1828) and d. 7 Mar 1885 NYC NY. George A. Kennard died intestate, there are letters of administration granted to his wife which name his children

George 7th child of Albert and Margaret Kennard. Albert b. 23 Jun 1769 NYC m. before 1789 (first child Barbara b. 7 Jan 1789) and d. 31 Jan 1836 NYC
Margaret b. 23 Sep 1769 d. 29 Apr 1810
This from family Bible records, believe wife's maiden name to be "Horn". Albert married again Mary unknown.
Albert has will in NY Surrogate's Court 74 504
names second wife Mary and children including George
According to family legend, his parents were Michael and Barbara Kennard who were immigrants to NYC 1767, and he was their only child. I have not located any info on Michael and Barbara yet...
