I am helping a friend with her Westervelt Family research. She has not been able to locate any info on her GGGgrandfather, Abraham Westervelt, b. abt, 1810, died July 13, 1859
Margery, wife, b. 1815?, d.?
Children:
George, b. abt. 1834, died. October 1901 (GG grand)
Peter, b. abt. 1837, d. ?
Frank, b. abt. 1840, d. July 2 1863 (Civil War-Gettysburg)
Jordan, b. Abt. 1847, d. ?
Abram, b. abt. 1845, d. ?
She has the 1860 NY census in Manhattanville of Margery and children, and the 1900 census on George on 143 St. NYC.
In 1863, Margery is listed as living at 49 149 Street, between 4th & 5th Avenues in NYC per the mother's pension for her son Francis who died at Gettysburg in 1863.
I understand that Don once posted that all Westervelts descend from the same person. I was wondering if there is a conncetion to this Westervelt names above and, if so, where can I obtain the family tree for my friend, Pat?
