Van Houten-Westervelt

In the Van Houten book by Herbert Ackerman, he says that Geesje Van Houten married 2 Oct 1676 Lubbert Lubbertsen van Westervelt. Where did this date come from? And if she didn't marry him until then, who is the mother of the children born in the Netherlands? Someone posted data from the van Rensselaer-Bouwien manuscripts, 1908, NY on RootsWeb's World that seems to substantiate that Geesje
was a subsequent wife since her parents married in Rensselaerswyck, NY in 1643 and I doubt they had money to
send her back to the Netherlands. Lubbert Lubbertsen (Jr)
was born in Stapperhut, Overijssel, about 1681 while the
older 3 children listed in Genealogy of the Westervelt
Family is said to have been baptized in Mepple and Lubbert (Sr) has Mepple listed as his home on the passenger list on the first pages. Anyone have documentation on any of this?
Doris
