Hi April,

Hello again,

Likewise, I am waiting for that website to start up too. Lets hope that it does not get delayed again.

Meanwhile, my friend has ordered a full transcription of the marriage of George Westcott and Amelia Allen in Dec 1873 from FreeBMD. Unfortunately, although here in Scotland, a marriage certificate would give me the mothers names, I think that we will just get the bride and grooms' fathers, (which we know already).

I agree wholeheartedly about the enormous task it would be to look manually through a London census. It would be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Trying to decipher the old-fashioned script writing, is quite painful on the eyes after a while.

I shall keep an eye out for your Westcotts too,

Good luck on 1st April - lets hope it doesn't prove to be an "April Fools" trick.

Happy hunting!
