Lost Westbrook -Canadian??

My grandmother, Caroline Gertrude WESTBROOK,
born June 1863,in Napanee, Ont. Canada, had a brother who moved to the US... her two brothers were John, b. 1844(?)and Wm. Henry, b. 1859. of the two, Wm. would seem to be the one. My grandmother evidently had a letter from him around 1907, saying he had a son whom he called Velda(?) -
my Mum remembered this as HER name was Velma,(also born thatyear, 1907) and the co-incidence was odd. The brother was supposedly a teacher/professor in Kansas, whether city or state (which one,if city?),I don't know. It's a long shot, but the only one I have, as I seem to have exhausted all other options!!
