John #4 Westbrook was born about 1796 in Franklin County, Georgia, and was probably the oldest son of John #2 Westbrook.
In 1818 and 1819, his father paid 1 Tax Poll for him, indicating that he was at least 21 years old. In 1820, Johyn #4 Westbrook paid 1 Tax Poll for himself. In 1821, his father paid tax for him on 250 acres of land in Early County and 490 acres in Appling County. In 1822 and 1823, John #4 Westbrook paid tax on 250 acres in Early County and 490 acres in Irwin County, Georgia. See Reference #9 under John #2 Westbrook Notes.
