John West b. 1716 married Elizabeth Williams by Jan. 19, 1743/4 in Amelia Co. Virginia ,he died in 1746. His parents were John (b.abt. 1673-d.abt 1742)and Mary West. Their sons were JOHN, Robert,& William West,their daughters Lorena West, Leney West Irby, & Agnes West Clanton.John's parents were John West(born in Charles City , Virginia and Elizabeth Gilliam (b.abt. 1654, in Henrico Co. VA -d.abt. 1714/15 in Surry Co. VA).John b. 1673 had a brother Francis West. Their mother maried again to William Bevin and a 3rd husband Francis Maybury. Elizabeth Gilliam West Bevin Maybury was the daughter of John Devereaux Gilliam (Guilham),Jr.(born c. 1614 in England) and Margery Henshaw(born Feb. 18,1614 or 1618 in London, Eng. and died in Henrico Co. VA)). John Gilliam,Jr.'s parents were John Gilliam, Sr. (born abt. 1571 in England or Wales, died in Norfolk Co. VA)) married Amy Fontaine/Fountayn (born abt. 1594 in England and died in England) around 1613.John Gilliam ,Jr. sailed from Gravesend ,England on August 21, 1635 on the ship GEORGE bound for England.
