By any chance is Hezekiah West related to Temperance West?

I have a Richard Hezekiah Mercer, m. to Temperance West, abt. 1807, Johnson Co. IL

And two of their sons are

Thomas Mercer, b. abt. 1814

Hezekiah West Mercer, b. 22 Feb 1827, West Eden, Johnson Co., IL m. Nancy Ellis, 25 Dec 1847, Johnson Co., IL source - http://www.ilsos.gov/GenealogyMWeb/marrsrch.html

My cousin is a descendant of Thomas M. Mercer and Minerva Allen, Johnson Co. IL - 1850 census Dist. 2 South half of Johnson Co.
