Okay,
Tilda Mae Taylor Whorton died in 1924 in Miller County Arkansas. I do have a copy of her death cert. It states her name on this document as May Stewart Horton.
She married John Robert Whorton abt. 1902. John Whorton was living in Indian Territory with his mother on the 1900 census. I am unable to locate Mae on this census.

John and Mae were living in Franklin CO AR, Mill Creek TWP,in 1910, per census with daughters Intha and Gracie .They had more children, Bertha, Fannie, Virgie and John Robert. John Robert was born 1922 in OK.

I cannot locate them on the 1920 census, but know they moved to Miller CO AR shortly before her death in 1924.

To my knowledge, she had no husband prior to John Whorton. John had known Mae for quite a few years before their marriage, for he waited for her to become respectably old enough,or so the story goes. The connection with this family and the Wessons must have begun back in Union CO MS where Mae was born. I just can't find the link.

Thanks for your efforts.
Debby
