I will be glad to share what I have, but most of it came from this site, or others like it. My information goes back to Edward Wesson, who married Mary Johnson. I have seen the line that goes from Mary back to the Kings of England. I have not verified any information, except for some census records.
I did find one bit of interesting information concerning the McGhey name. While researching my ancestor, Isiah Holmes, father of Rachel's husband, George Washington Holmes, I investigated claims that Isiah was half Creek Indian. While looking at the Creek history, I found a Rachel Jane McGhey, born in Alabama, 1845 (I think), who married and went to Texas and raised a family there. This Rachel was from the Poarch Creek Nation, at Atmore, Alabama. It seems that there were several McGheys who were of Creek descent. You may email me direct at TaylorinNM@aol.com. I look forward to hearing from you.
Billie
