Edward Wesson, Sr. was the son of William Wesson and Elizabeth Blanchard and was born between 1710 and 1715 in Surry County Virginia. He migrated to Brunswick County Virginia where he married Mary Elizabeth Johnson about the year 1740. Mary Elizabeth Johnson was born in 1724 in Brunswick County and was the daughter of James Johnson and Jane Unknown. Edward Wesson died in 1788 in Brunswick County and Mary Elizabeth Wesson died between 1784 and 1790. They are both buried in Brunswick County. They had at least eleven verifiable children.

William Wesson was the son of Edward Wesson. Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Johnson and was born in 1746 in Brunswick County Virginia. He died after 1803 in Brunswick County. William was married to Elizabeth Harrison in 1765. Elizabeth’s birth date is unknown but we know that she died in Brunswick County in 1803. They had at least thirteen known children.

Edward Wesson was the son of William Wesson and Elizabeth Unknown and was born about 1785 in Brunswick County Virginia. He was married to Jane Jincy Williams on December 23rd 1805 in Brunswick County.

Lewis Green Wesson was the son of Edward Wesson and Jane Williams and was born in 1808 in Brunswick County Virginia. He died on May 1st 1868. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Adair {Born in 1820} in Laurens County South Carolina.

Just to make things more confusing there was a Green Wesson, the son of Isaac Wesson and Sarah Nanny and was born in 1786 in Brunswick County Virginia. He married Ann "Nancy" Delbridge on December 18th 1820 in Brunswick County. Nancy was the daughter of Thomas Delbridge {Born about 1766 in Barnstable England} and was born in 1791 in Brunswick County. Green and Nancy Wesson had nine known children.

It is easy to get them confused. There are also acouple of more "greens" in the 1870-1890 range.

hope this helps
