I also have Wesseling family from Hanover, Germany. Harmen Wesseling was born 13 August 1757 and moved to Bennebroek, Netherlands where he married Catharine van Wunnik around 1795. They then moved to Heemstede, Netherlands. They had 3 children: Catharina, b. 1796; Nicholaas, b. 1802; and Hendrika, b. 1804. Hendrika was my gggggrandmother. I don't know anything else about Harmen Wesseling before he moved to Netherlands, other than when he was born. Is there anyone who has heard of Harmen and/or his parents?
