Harry J. WESTCOTT born Utah and Blanche HENNING may be (no proof) parents of William Perry WESTCOTT, born 1895 ... maybe in Wyoming. Harry though to have been born in Utah, but later thought to have lived in Iowa.
Searchng hard for this line. William Perry WESTCOTT born abou 1895 named a son William Percy WESTCOTT, JR. born 1922 in Texarkana, TX. This son died on the ship Arizona when Pearl Harbor was bombed, Dec. 7, 1941 and is listed on the Memorial.
William Perry WESTCOTT was a railroad man, but also worked in Louisville KY for Louisville Gas & Electric Company.
He married 1st to Eleanor BAGNETTO ? from New Orleans LA, and 2nd to her sister, May BEALL BAGNETTO Aug 23, 1935. Eleanor died sometime before this date.
They are found on the 1930 census in Peru, Indiana ... only census record to be found. Name is spelled and mis-transcribed so many different ways, it is a challenge.
Known children are the above Wm. Percy WESTCOTT who died Dec. 7, 1941, Milton Edward WESTCOTT Dec. 28, 1925, and Harry WESTCOTT.
When William Perry WESTCOTT filled out an application for a birth certificate, he added his parents information as above shown Harry J. WESTCOTT and Blanche HENNING / S. There is no present knowledge if this information is true.
When he filled out a Masonic Lodge application in KY, he gave his birth as March 24, 1895 in Cheyenne Wyoming. He had an older brother ...but the name is unknown.
In 1923, he and wife Eleanor were in Louisville, KY.
William Perry died Sept. 28, 1943 and his 2nd wife May died Nov. 12 1971.
An Ancestry.com message board posting found for 2000 by a Jeffrey James WESTCOTT queried about William Percy WESTCOTT (b 1922) who died in Pearl Harbor ...but no other postings. This person Jeffrey James WESTCOTT is not known to the family .... but very interested in contacting him.
Hoping to find some new info ...on any Westcott, Wescott, Wescot, etc. spelling. Thanks for any help.
