Hello Matthew! While I am not the EXPERT on the Wert family tree, I am the only one who will talk to you (or anyone!) about it! How far back do your records go? I have Elhannan Sr's line traced back to Isaac Wert and Ruth Jones in the 1700's (as well as the Umpstead's), but could not trace Jane McCullough at all... I also did not even know that Elhannan Jr had a sister Edith. I would love to have any information you have on Jane and her children, and am more than happy to share with you! :) Once my printer is back from the shop I can scan you a photo of George B Wert, Elhannan Sr (in his Civil War uniform!) and of Jane. Jane immigrated from Colaine County, Ireland during the potato fammine at age 10. She left with her brother, John, but soon after setting sail the boat developed a leak and returned to port. John left on another boat but Jane waited until repairs were made on the original vessel. They were reunited once they reached America. Jane helped start the school for the Deaf and Dumb, as well as the GAR School. John was an actor in the same trope as John Wilkes Booth. Not too much on Elhannan Sr except during the war he was promoted to Sgt on July 1st, the first day of the Battle of Gettysburg. I believe he was a member of the 143rd Volunteer Unit. (Somewhere I have a Gettysburg book with his name in it... I'll have to dig it out. His name is on the PA Monument at the battlefield). anywho... let me know who you have and who you need - and I would love information on Edith (birth and death dates) and any of the other Elhannan Sr/Jane children/information that you know of!
