WERRY family (English) in Turkey 19th C.

[Pronounced in our family as: "weary".]

My great-grandmother Zoe Theophanie WERRY, born Smyrna (now Izmir, Turkey) on 4 Feb 1869. She married Thomas Bowen REES on 28 Oct 1889 in Smyrna.

Her parents were Esther MALTASS (born 14 Aug 1821) and Albert Frederick William WERRY (born about 1818). They married 26 Apr 1845.

I believe (via family stories and geographical proximity) that Albert Frederick William WERRY is descended from Francis WERRY, English Consul at Smyrna in the late 18th century, and member of the Levant Company (he was admitted as a member 10 March 1778).
