Hi Don,
I made some investigations for you. Perhaps it helps you to find out more about your ancestors.
1. There is only one city with the name "Meisburg" spelling with "U" and thats the one I live (near Luxembourg/France). It’s in the former West Germany.
2. Near the town of "Halle" in the former East Germany is a city called "Meisberg" with "E". Perhaps it’s what you mean. By using the whole Germany telephone book on a CD-Rom, I found out, that there live several people with the name you’re looking for. Maybe there’s one underneath, who can help you.
