Hello Phillip, I have been trying for the pasr few days to get on here to send a reply, but for some reason couldn't. To answer your question as to where my Wenzlaff's were from in Germany, according to the ship records I found, they came here to the U.S. in April 1894, some of their places of residence were Plawaon, Pomerania. They left the Port of Bremen, Germany, to Baltimore, Maryland, then on to St. Joseph, Michigan. My grandfather's records say he was born in Hamburg, Germany. My mother has told me they talked the hi-german language, which I understand is from northern Germany. For more e-mail me direct at
