Daniel Wentzel - Revolutionary War

While researching the family name, I came across a letter at the Library of Congress that is part of the "George Washington" collection. It is a letter to Anthony Wayne (affectionately known as "mad anthony", he was a real important general during the Revolutionary War) the letter is signed DANIEL WENTZEL and dated December 6, 1779. The letter is warning of enemy troops at Stony Point, NY. You can see the letter on-line at:
http://lcweb2.loc.gov/ammem/ammemhome.html
and type in "Daniel Wentzel" for the search.

I do not know if I am related to this guy - but I think so. Anybody know about this guy?
