Killed in Action

Lieut. Ned James Wentz, 33, above has been reported killed in action "somewhere in the Atlantic" Nov. 12, his wife, the former Miss Elizabeth Simms of 1588 Lee St., has been informed. Mrs. Wentz, who resides with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Simms of the same address, and Lieut. Wentz were married Nov. 11, 1934 and their 18 months daughter, Frances Mae, was born in Panama.

Previously, the navy department listed Lieut. Wentz as "missing." He was a native of Colorado and was graduated from the U.S. naval academy in 1933.
