Looking for information about the family of my wife's father, Fred Wendel. Born Harlan, Iowa 6/26/1898 d: 4/28/1962 in Manistee, Michigan. Married Anna Elizabeth Zahart in Chicago, IL 2/21/1928. Siblings Ted, George, Edward, and Kate. Father, Fred Wendel was born in Germany and died in 1919 in the US. Mother was Sophia Drost b 2/26/1882 in Germany and died 6/24/1936 in the US. Young Fred may have been Frederick Adolph Wendel. He was career US Coast Guardsman and spent WWII on N. Atlantic sub patrol. Any information would be appreciated.
