I am looking for information pertaining to John Adams Windle (Wendel) who was born in Shenadoah VA in 1804. He was married to Unknown and his first son John William Windle was born in Pickens County Alabama. His son John William was the first Windle born in Pickens county Alabama in 1827 He settled near Andrew Moore Windles family. John Adam then moved to Overton Co. TN where His second son James was born in 1829 they settled near Joseph Hawkins Windle. His first wife passed there and he married Permelia Lusk and moved to Lousianna where his first daughter Permelia Elizabeth was born. He received two known land grants from the Republic of Texas in What is now Rusk Co and one in Fannin county where his eldest son John William and his family settled. John Adams settled on the grant in Rusk county in Henderson where he had three more children with Permelia Isaac Parker, Mary Catherine, and David K. Permelia passed in Henderson. John Adams then married Mary Harmon and had four more children by her George Washington, Nicholas, Elizabeth, and John Adam Jr. who was born after John Adams death in 1861. I am really interested in knowing if anyone has anything on John Adams parents.
