My great-great-grandfather was Christian Welty, born in Washington County MD on April 11, 1814. His death certificate states his father and mother (Sarah Hugging) were born in Westmoreland County PA. I am trying to find his father's name. I also know that he had a relative named Tilden Welty who lived in Dalton Ohio. Does any one have information on this line? Christian married Mary Crawford of Alleghany County PA in Oct. 1940 and settled in Richland County Ohio that same year.
