Michael Welty & Christina Ruthrauf.....Phillip Welty & Sarah Overholt

I have been able to trace back our family to Michael Welty (b. 1759?) married to Christina Ruthraff/Ruthrauf (b. 1763). I can't seem to find out who Michael's parents were.

I do know Michael had 7 children: Catherine, John, Jacob, Philip, Henry, George and Mary.

Philip served in the war of 1812, moved from Westmoreland PA to Ohio in 1818 (we have records of the Land Grant).

I can take Philip's linage all the way to the present day. But am at a roadblock with his grandparents. Is anyone else researching this Welty family line?
