Well, guess what? I found info on John (Johannes) Welty's parents and such. Hope you're ready to take this down. There's also more info on the Ingelfritz side too. It's a lot.

Johannas (John) Welty was married to Margaretha (not Margaret) Ilgenfritz. His parents: Johan (John) Welty (Welti) or Peter Welty b. bef. 1718 in the German States. d.1802 Washington Co., MD. Married Catherine ?. information unknown on Catherine.

Johan or Peter Welty:
father: Abraham or John Welty
mother: Magdelena or unknown
no dates on either of them. But that answers the question of who John Welty's parents and grandparents are. Gives a place to go from.

now for the Margaretha Ilgenfritz info:
There's a correction here too on her father's information.

father: Johann George Ilgenfritz, JR. B. 25 May 1728 in Werenz (wornitz?), Ausbach, Hessen-Nassau, Preussen d. 11 Oct 1810 Quickels Ch. Dover Twp, York Co., PA buried in Prospect Hill Cemetary in York, PA on 14 Oct 1810. Immigrated in 1737 on the ship "Charming Nancy". he was a farmer, miller, and constable. He married Margaretha Mohr Jun 1748 in Dover Twp, York Co., PA. She was b. 15 Aug 1731 Becherbach, Pfalz, Palatinate Germany. They had 12 children including Margaretha. Mrs. Ilgenfritz d. 6 Apr 1769 same place as George. Her immigration took place 1739 on "Samuel" from Rotterdam via Deal England to PA. George later married Anna Maria Schartel on 17 Apr 1770 in York Co., PA. She was b. abt. 1752 in York Co, PA d. bef 1809 in York Co., PA.

I have oh so much more on the Ilgenfritz line if you want it. I've gotta get it into a format I can email or copy here that will make it easier to read. If you want this information definitely email me at .
