Hi Denise, My father-in-law talked about a Michael Welter that left the family and that he was not heard from again. The only thing he commented about was that the family thought he headed to the Metro area. Martin Welter had a son named Michael, that I have no information on. There were 7 children in that family and I have alot of information on some of them. My father-in-law was Aloys Welter from Morgan, MN., and his father was John Welter who married a Mary Ann Pierre on 10/7/1890. John was born on 11/14/1864 and Mary Ann on 6/4/1867. Martin came from Luxembourg, but I have no information on any of that. John was #6 in the family. His oldest brother Peter was born 6/15/1851. The siblings are Peter, Nicholas, Mary, Michael, Katherine, John and Magdeline (Lena). If any of this sounds familiar please let me know. I have alot of information to share. Thanks Vickie
