George, I have since proven Wellwood James Anderson's parentage and he is not the same one we were considering here. He does have an ancestor named James Welwood, a Doctor/Surgeon, whose father of the same name was a Minister (Covenanter) in Fife and later in Dumfries-shire, Scotland, mid-18th C. There was another son in the family of Rev'd James Welwood (Andrew Welwood) who was a leader among the Covenanters. He died in Scotland of TB. The Welwoods were related to the Welwoods of Fife- and to those of Touch.
