Thanks for your list. The only information that I have on this line is that "Erastus Wellons" served in Co. K, 66th NC Troops during the War Between the States. The records list him as being from Wayne county, but the company was originally enlisted in Goldsborough as a railroad guard company. Since railroad guards were kept at home and not sent away, many men enlisted as "local" when this may not have been true. I don't have my research info with me, but I seem to remember some reference to Princeton, NC in Erastus Wellons's records. (Princeton is right at the boundary between Johnston and Wayne counties, NC).

(PS I agree that this does not seem related to the Benjamin/Jesse Wellons line, but here are more Holts marrying Wellons families.)
