Harry Ned Wellman 7 Nov 1908 - 27 Apr 1982
Harry Ned Wellman, 73, of 1725 N. Sanders St., died at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday at Lucy Lee Hospital. He had been ill two years.
Mr. Wellman was born Nov.7,1908, at Eureka Springs,Ark. He was married to Cleffie Porterfield Oct.7,1952, at Pocahontas,Ark. He was a member of First Christian Church.
He worked for 20 years for Missouri-Pacific Railroad and for 20 years as a driver for Continental Trailways, from which he retired. He was a member of Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and received several safe driving awards from Continental Trailways.
Surviving are his wife; four sons, Jim Wellman of Kansas City, Bob Wellman of Russellville,Ark., Harry Wellman Jr. and Larry Wellman, addresses unknown; one foster daughter, Darlina Tozzio of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Leita Novarro of Murphysboro,Ill.,; and several grandchildren.
The funeral will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Home. The Rev. John Saunders will officiate. Burial will be in City Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday.
