The earliest information that I have is as follows: Thomas Wellman from England in 1790's (British Redcoat) married girl (possibly Margaret) from Ireland. They settled on a land grant in Rawdon Township, Hastings County. I cannot find a grave site for them but dozens of other family graves exist in the county. They had at least 10 children, one of which was my great (great) grandfather.
