Dear Bill:

I have just read your posting regarding Elizabeth Welliver who married Daniel Ebner.
I have Welliver Family ancestors, who lived in Aledo and in Galesburg, Illinois.
To date I have found buried in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, North Henderson, Knox County, Illinois:

My GGGrandparents:
Jacob A. Welliver
born: 8-17-1817
died: 5-1-1891

Hannah Welliver
born: 4-15-1823
died: 3-4-1885

Their children:
Margaret E. (daughter of J.A. & H.)
died: 12-11-1882 3 yr. 7 mo. 27 ds.

Eliza (daughter of J.A. and H)
died: 2-24-1866

My Great Grandmother:
Anna (Olson) Welliver
born: 1859
died: 1941

Chester O.Welliver
born: 12-1889
stone partially sunken into the ground

Lilly M Welliver 1890-1891
dates uncertain

Dolly Welliver(daughter of J M and S E) age 1 month 14 days

Grace (Welliver) Adock 1895-1970
daughter of Anna & James Buchanan Welliver

I know that James B. Welliver and Anna (Annie Olson) Welliver had children named:
Roy Jacob
born: Mar. 1885 born in Aledo, Mercer, Illinois
William W. Welliver (born May 4, 1890, place not sure Aledo or Galesburg)
children are not necessarily in birth order.

I have had some information that Jacob & Hannah Welliver once lived in Ohio and that is where my GGrandfather James B. Welliver was born. Locality in Ohio I do not know.

IRAD, Illinois records, have marriage certificates in which you can order copies for $3.00. I have ordered my Great Grandparents who married in July 1880 in Mercer County, Ill. I hope to receive it soon. Now they also will send you 2 free copies of death certificates. You can only submit 2 at one time and when you receive them you can order 2 more for free. I have been waiting a month now for the copy of the marriage certificate and about the same for the death certificate copies but it just takes patience and time to finally receive these precious documents.

There is a very nice lady from Headstone Hunters who is going to take pictures of these headstones soon and mail to me. She is also going to the Galesburg library to see if there is any Welliver information recorded there.
I have been told by others that our line, if the same, originated from Columbia, PA. I have not gotten that far yet!

I don't know if you see any family ties with my Welliver Ancestors and those you know of and have found. Please write and I will be more than happy to share any information with you.
Sincerely, Kathy Price
