I can only say he was born in PA. in 1918 on Nov. 1st. On his birth certificate, he was given his mother's maiden name because he was born out of wedlock. It was a well kept secret for 86 years and he died never knowing the truth. He never saw his birth certificate because his mother told him he didn't have one since he was born at home. Obviously, his mother told many lies to him. His son's DNA was tested and the name Welling was attached to it, but don't know the generation of the attachment. That is why I am seeking family trait comparisons.
