There were (at least) two Jane Welling's in Jamaica, Queens County, New York prior to the Revolutionary War. One was the daughter of Thomas Welling born before 1713, and the other was born during the 1730s. She was found in a list of school children during the 1740's but I can't find the reference. It was in a book in the Queens Library listing information in early Jamaica. I can't find the sheet where I collected the information. At the time that I found it, I assumed that it was not a direct ancestor of mine so I set it aside. I will be going back at the end of February and will let you know what I find. Please let me know if you find anything before I do. Thanks, Barb
