Funeral services were held at LaFayette, Ind., Monday, Oct. 16, for John Phillip Weller, 90, who died at Westbrook Nursing home in Crawfordsville, Ind., Friday, Oct. 13, 1967, where he had been a resident since August. He had been ill since May. Burial was to be in St. Mary's cemetery, Winnipeg, Canada.
He was born at Chatsworth Nov. 15, 1876, a son of Phillip and Anna Weller. He farmed around Chatsworth until 1920 when he moved to Elmbreenk, Manitoba, Canada, where he made his home for 40 years before moving to Indiana.
He married Mary Frances Coltaux in Melvin in 1907. She died in 1957.
He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral at LaFayette, Ind.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clyd Miller of LaFayett, Ind.; Mrs. Ted Tanchuk of Winnipeg, Canada; two sons, Joseph Leonard of Woodland Hills, Calif.; Phillip John of Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada; one sister, Mrs. Ed Spitz of Kankakee; three brothers, Richard of Chatsworth, James of Chicago and Allie of Ashkum.
