I am looking into the possibility that my ggggrandfather married an unknown Welford woman.

My gggrandfather's name was William Welford Collier. He was born in England about 1822-1823 whereabouts unknown. He was married in 1848 in the Cathedral of St. Nicholas in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in Northumberland.
His father's name was John Collier.
I am raising the possibility that this John Collier married a Welford woman.

My family had a habit of using the mother's maiden surname as the middle name for the men in the family.

Does anybody know of a Collier man and a Welford woman marriage in and around the Newcastle/ and or Yorkshire area during the late 1700's and early 1800's?

Grasping at straws here, but at least worth a try.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
