Does this refer to a family in the 1700s, 1800s, or 1900s (note Preston Co did not become WV until 1863).
I am interested in determining the children of Benjamin WELCH b c1775 probably in Hampshire Co, VA; married 1797 Harrison Co, VA to Mary BARTLETT. Benjamin WELCH is listed in Harrison Co, VA (and some Hampshire Co, VA records in the 1820s) up through the 1850 Taylor Co, VA census (where he was listed as age 70). From the census records, it appears he had at least 9 children. WELCH individuals in the county records about the right ages include:

Dempsey WELCH b c 1806; m 1825 Harrison Co, VA Elizabeth BAILEY

Edith WELCH b 1810-20; m 1834 HArrison Co, VA Mason OVERFIELD
Roseanna WELCH b 1819; m 1836 Harrison Co, VA George D ROBBINS
James F WELCH m 1841 Harrison Co, VA Alcey Ann MINCER
Other Harrison Co, VA marriages I haven't been able to tie into any parents include:

and there are others in the census records - has anyone put together the WELCH family(ies) of Harrison Co, (W)VA?
