We have a Great-Grandfather who left
south carolina about the same time as the great western homestead expansion. Our grandfather settled in Doe Run MO. outside of Farmington MO. and established Pendleton Baptist Church.. He and his family had left the South Carloina area because suposedly the wife had been "excommunicated" this is not the correct term given the fact we (they) were Baptists. But apparantly she "spoke out against an other sister" in an inappropriate way.
