Hi Jimmy,
I just want you to know that I enjoyed reading your postings and feel that you have made some very valid points. As you know, Ioften offer up gen theories and this is very much different from presentingfacts and citing sources.
I feel very strongly that when anyone says that they have proof regarding our ancestors they are then obligated to cite their sources on the spot!!!For anyone tosay that theyhave proof to support their contentions and then expect all other researchersto wait until they publish a book to show this so called proof is most unfair!Actually, I think it is worse than unfair. I think it shows a real disrespect for the entire genealogy community. And also puts their own credibility on line in the process.
And furthermore to make such a preposterious claim as to never having been miffed at anyone in their life, is so absurd as to be totally laughable. But then with such a credibility problem already established, what better can one expect?
How unfortunate that you and I and others cannot post our material on these various Welborn/Wilburn genforums without running the risk of being insulted and attacked for seeking information and or asking questions.
This very person who took you to task for asking very legitimate questions, is also the same person who referred to me as "swine" on the Wilburn genforum. Apparently she disagreed with me and foudn the need to address me in such a manner..Mores the pity!
You are a fine young man and also a serious and consciencious researcher...I know this from personal experience.I respect and admire this quality in you and the work that you do and the questions that you ask.
Warmest regards,
Vikky Wilburn Anders
