It would appear that we do, in fact, share a g-gfather in Oscar Stanton Weitzeil. This has been confirmed via census scans. I received a good bit of information froma very nice lady named Kim Millet who has no stock in this but is apparently just helpful :)
Census: June 19, 1900 Nebraska

--dau---, Ethel Apr 1886 b.IA, dad:IL, mom:IL
--son---, Oscar Aug 1889 b.NE, dad:IL, mom:IL

Census: Apr 16-17, 1910 Schofield Barracks, Honolulu, HA
Weitzeil, Oscar S. age:20 b.NE, dad:IL, mom:PA

Draft Card dated July 31, 1917
Oscar Stanton Weitzeil

DOB: July 23 1889 Battlecreek, Nebraska

Wife and two children

Weitzeil, Oscar S. 30 b.NE, dad:IL, mom:PA [hostler railroad]
--wife--, Bessie R. 26 b.MI, dad:CAN, mom:US
--son---, Thomas O. 4 0/12 b.HA, dad:NE, mom:MI
--dau---, Bertha H. 2 10/12 b.HA, dad:NE, mom:MI

Census: 1930 Sausalito, Marin, CA
Weitzeil, Oscar S. 40 b.NE, dad:IL, mom:PA [fireman RR]
--wife--, Bessie R. 36 b.MI, dad:IRE, mom:PA
--son---, Thomas O. 14 b.HA
--dau---, Hazel B. 13 b.HA
--son---, Stanton P. 6 b.CA

*Notes for further inquiry:
1: Oscar claims mis mom is from PA, though she said IL
2: Bessie claims her dad is from Canada & Ireland
3: Hazel was probably born "Bertha Hazel"

After talking to my mom, she remembers meeting Oscar & Irene once or twice, probably in the 70's, in Corning CA. It would appear to me that Oscar married Irene sometime later in life, but all children were born and raised by he & Bessie andd thus, are full-siblings.
