As you know, your note is extremely vague. However, I have an aunt here in Ohio who married a William Carl Weist sometime around April of 1942; he was born in La Crescent, Houston Co., MN, in 1915, I think.
I can recall visiting in La Cross, WI / La Crescent, MN in the early 1950's. One summer up there, I got a blistering sunburn.
